AlgoSource Technologies partner of the European project SUPRABIO(FP7)
AlgoSource a spot for this project to study the recycling and recovery of waste from these biorefineries with micro-algae in a logic of industrial ecology. AlgoSource technology therefore works on optimization of industrial CO2, recovery of process water, heat, nitrates, phosphates. The project has a duration of 4 years, its budget is 19 million and has 17 partners including major European companies such as Statoil, United Utilities, Boregaard. The project is led by the University of Oxford, studies began in February 2010. AlgoSource Technologies was chosen for its expertise in the integration process of micro-algae and its research capacity on the recycling of industrial effluents with micro-algae. 3 European projects have been financed by Europe, AST is the only micro-algae living in such projects AlgoSource technology partner of the ANR project : AlgoRaffinerie Single project on microalgae funded by ANR (Agence Nationale de la Recherche) in 2010, AlgoRaffinerie aims to develop technologies for bio-refining of microalgae. The bio-refinery is aimed at a complete recovery of the plant as soon as economic conditions: process optimization, process intensification, thus reducing consumption of energy and raw material costs and improved, in parallel to optimize the product enhancement. 36 French research laboratories are involved in this project: GEPEA (Nantes / Saint-Nazaire), Clermont Ferrand LGCB, INPT-Toulouse ACL engineering processes. AST is the only company in the project.
AST develops its modeling tool techno-economic AlgaeSIM
AST has completed several engineering studies for customers in France and abroad including the SEM Energy Troyes.
